MainOne Cable Ready for Service in Cote d’Ivoire

MainOne announces its submarine cable in Cote d’Ivoire is live and ready for service. The project, notable for being the first commercial cable system in service to deploy spectrum sharing capabilities, will offer capabilities to deepen infrastructure sharing and lower the cost of delivering broadband services to the region.

EGS to Complete Seychelles’ Geophysical Survey

EGS survey vessel, the RV Geo Resolution, has completed a geophysical and geotechnical survey for the second submarine cable of Seychelles to support the construction of a branch on the PEACE system which connects Seychelles to the main network.

Meygen Granted Funding for Subsea Hub for Tidal Turbines

SIMEC Atlantis Energy Limited (Atlantis), a global developer, owner and operator of sustainable energy projects, announced that MeyGen Plc has been awarded a £1.545 million grant from the Scottish Government’s Saltire Tidal Energy Challenge Fund to develop a subsea tidal turbine connection hub for the next phase of development of the MeyGen tidal power array, the world’s largest tidal stream power project.
