Seaborn Networks, a leading developer-owner-operator of subsea fiber optic cable systems, announced today the addition of Dr. Maximo Lema to Seaborn's Board of Advisors.

Dr. Lema is one of Argentina's foremost telecommunications authorities, with more than 20 years of experience. His areas of expertise include submarine cables, satellite teleports, IP backbones and wholesale business models. Until December 2017, he served as Telecom Argentina's Wholesale Unit Director and was President of Telecom Argentina USA.

"We are very pleased to add Dr. Lema to our Board of Advisors," said Larry Schwartz, Chairman & CEO of Seaborn. "He is an invaluable resource as we make further progress on our ARBR submarine cable between Argentina and Brazil."

Seaborn, together with Grupo Werthein, have previously announced they will be building the ARBR submarine fiber optic cable system between Argentina and Brazil. ARBR will interconnect with Seaborn's Seabras-1 system for the newest and most direct telecommunications route between Argentina and the US.
