JDR Wins Arcadis Ost 1 Offshore Wind Project in Germany

JDR, owned by the TFKable Group, has been awarded a contract by Parkwind to supply, test and terminate 33kV subsea cables for the Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm in Germany.

Sumitomo Electric Wins Offshore Wind Cable Contract

Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. was awarded a contract by a UK Offshore Transmission Owner, Gwynt y Môr OFTO Plc. (GYM), to supply 132-kV offshore export cable to transmit power from a 576-megawatt offshore wind farm located approximately 15 km off the North Coast of Wales to the onshore grid.

NordLink Interconnector Officially Opened

The first interconnector between Norway and Germany, NordLink, was officially opened on May 27. The Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg and the German Chancellor Angela Merkel marked the occasion alongside NordLink partners Statnett, TenneT and investment bank KfW.
